These terms govern your use of OnlinePrep at onlineprep.co.uk. By registering or using the service you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the site.
OnlinePrep provides online practice material in the style of the MidYIS assessment, for families preparing for selective school entry. It is an independent revision aid. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Winchester College, Cambridge Insight, the Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM), or any school or examining body. Our questions are written by us in the style of the assessment; they are not past papers and are not supplied by any examiner.
Practising here does not guarantee any particular score, assessment outcome, or offer of a school place. Tier results shown on the site describe performance on our own practice material only. They are not an official score, not a prediction, and should not be relied on as one. Admissions decisions are entirely a matter for the schools concerned.
You need a free account to practise. Accounts are intended to be created by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over, who is responsible for the account and for supervising the child's use of it. Please give an email address you control — we sign you in by emailing a link to it, so anyone with access to that inbox can access the account. Keep your account for your own family's use and don't share access to paid content.
Practice at the Foundation and Standard tiers is free to registered users. Paid test packs unlock the Challenge and Stretch tiers — see pricing. Packs are one-off purchases, not subscriptions, and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. When packs are on sale, payment is handled by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record: your contract for the purchase is with Paddle, and their terms apply to the payment itself. Because access is immediate, at checkout you will be asked to confirm that you want the content supplied straight away and that you understand your 14-day cancellation right ends once you start a test. A pack is a single purchase rather than separate items, so starting one test uses the purchase. Refunds are covered by our refund policy, and your statutory rights in respect of faulty digital content are unaffected.
The questions, explanations, and design on this site are our intellectual property and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy, scrape, bulk-download, republish, resell, or use our material to train a machine learning model. Please don't attempt to bypass the tiers, interfere with the service, or use automated tools against it. We may suspend or close an account that does these things.
We aim to keep the service available but can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend, or withdraw parts of it. We may update these terms; if a change materially affects you we will say so on the site. If we withdraw the service while you hold unused paid tests, we will refund them.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law — and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for anything arising from admissions outcomes. Where we are liable in connection with a paid purchase, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for it.
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy notice.
